On January 15, 2014, the Amador Branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) will be presenting an evening with author and historian Carolyn Fregulia who will be discussing her books about the history of Volcano and of
. This will be a
fascinating look back at the development of the Gold Country and its residents,
builders and important characters. Amador
Ms. Fregulia has published three books including her new book, Silently They Speak, which focuses on the history of Volcano during its first ten years, from 1848 to 1860. Her previous books, Italians of the Gold Country, and Logging in the Central Sierra are also popular. All books will be available for sale.
