2nd Saturday Guided Tours at Sutter Creek’s Historic Knight Foundry

Discover the compelling history that is historic Knight Foundry - America’s last water-powered foundry and machine shop and a premier relic of Mother Lode gold mining history. Join us for one of our Guided Tours on the second Saturday of every month.

The next few tour dates are March 10, April 14, May 12, June 9. No reservations are necessary. Tours begin at 10 a.m., 12 noon, and 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults 18 and older, $5 for students age 5-17, free for children under 5.

Knight Foundry hats, T-shirts, aprons, and more are also on sale, along with Pinkerton Foundry patterns.

Knight Foundry Plaques Dedication - Sat Mar 10

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) will be rededicating their Mechanical Engineering Historical Landmark plaque that was first placed at the Foundry site in 1994.

The Native Sons of the Golden West (NSGW) will be dedicating the new plaque honoring all of the Native Sons who have passed through Knight Foundry, and to commemorate the NSGW support for the preservation of the site.

The ceremony will take place at 11am. The public is invited. Tours of the site will be also be available at 10am, 12noon and 2pm.
